Stucco is a mixture of cement, lime, sand, and water that, when combined, develops a cement-like texture. Stucco will be applied in a layering system onto the outermost layer of residential and commercial buildings. Stucco is extremely durable and has a one hour fire rating, meaning it can burn for one hour before flames penetrate the building or home beneath the siding. Stucco is a natural material, but it can be colored in a variety of shades and hues. During the stucco application process, tools can be used to provide a unique textural look to the siding.
