Unfortunately, even a small stucco crack can allow moisture to seep into the walls of your home and cause further damage.
━
To repair stucco hairline cracks, we use a brush to remove any existing debris. After cleaning the area, elastomeric caulking is used to fill the stucco crack. This allows the area to easily expand and contract with any future temperature changes while preventing further cracks from developing. Once the caulk is dry, we’ll paint the area to match the rest of your home.
Blistering under stucco is often caused by moisture getting trapped behind the stucco or home’s finish.
━
To repair stucco damage from blistering, we’ll start by removing any loose stucco or material. Secondly, we’ll remove the damaged lath and house wrap (lath and house wrap prevent moisture from entering your home. These items are required prior to applying stucco). After the removal process, our Phoenix & Tucson stucco repair teams will replace these materials with new house wrap and lath, apply three coats of stucco, and paint the area.
Holes in stucco can be caused by a number of things. From insufficient mixing or poor quality stucco to extreme weather conditions.
━
To repair a small hole in stucco, the area must be cleaned with a small wire brush and an air compressor (this will help assure there are no loose materials). Following this step, our Tucson & Phoenix stucco repair teams will apply polyurethane caulking into the hole and paint over the area.
Similar to blistering, when stucco is exposed to too much moisture, mold can develop on the surface or beneath the stucco. If you spot mold on the exterior or interior of your home, it should be addressed immediately. Mold can cause damage to the foundation of your home and have a negative impact on your overall health.
━
To remove mold from stucco, we’ll spray a mix of five parts water and one part bleach on the affected area. The area will be scrubbed and rinsed with a hose. After the area dries and all mold is removed, we will stucco and paint the area.
When the client decides to move forward with the project, they are placed on the calendar for an install date. Our team will contact the customer one week before the install and the day before the install.
Depending on the size of the job, our Phoenix or Tucson stucco repair crew will use first day to prep and mask your home or building. We’ll prepare the substrate, meaning we’ll repair any stucco cracks, and power wash or scrub down the area. Once substrate is ready they will begin the stucco process. If the customer chooses to color their stucco, the crew will get color confirmation prior to application. On average, a job takes about 2-5 days to complete. Larger stucco jobs may take up to 3 weeks.
